The mission of the Lake Lanier Technology Alliance is to foster the growth
of the technology industry and its resources through the development, education
and promotion of the region and its technology professionals.
Founded in 2002, the membership of this Georgia technology association is
now actively working on growing organization to accomplish the following
goals:
- Promote the Lake Lanier area as a center for advanced technology in
Georgia and the Southeast;
- Build cohesiveness within the Georgia technology community through
activities that promote communication, cooperation, education, and advocacy;
- Act as a catalyst for cooperative projects, strategic alliances, and
business development in the area;
- Facilitate the development of a regional Georgia technology incubator
environment by working with local Chambers of Commerce and Economic
Development Counsels;
- Create a database of local technology talent available to assist schools,
local businesses, and community organizations with technology issues
and needs;
- Speak with a unified voice for the technology industry to local governments
and communities;
- Promote the concept of a well rounded community where technology talent
can work hard and play hard in close proximity to their homes;
