We are pleased to announce Rep. Nathan Deal will address the LLTA membership and guests at our September 20, 2004 general meeting. He will speak on pending legislation and issues affecting the technology and business communities.

Rep. Deal is a member of the prestigious Committee on Energy and Commerce. This Committee has a great deal of influence, regulating Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection; the Environment; Telecommunications and the Internet; Energy and Air Quality; and Health, as well as Oversight and Investigations.

As a member of this Committee, he serves on the Subcommittee on Health and the Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet, giving him a special insight into the technology community.

The September meeting will be held at the Gainesville College Continuing Education Building and will begin at 5:30 p.m.  Please note that this event will be held on a Monday night, to accommodate the Congressional voting schedule.
