| Lake Lanier Technology Alliance hosts, “Technology in the Classroom” |

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Lake Lanier Technology Alliance hosts, “Technology in the Classroom,” on Thursday, September 7 from 5:30 p.m.–7:00 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce building in downtown Gainesville. The event will feature Delane Melton, Chief Technology Officer with Hall County Schools, and Keith Palmer, Director of Technology for Gainesville City Schools.
The presentation will focus on the advancements in technology over the past several years, new and exciting technologies employed in classrooms throughout our area, a look ahead to the future of technology in education, as well as a time for question and answer.
“Education is a building block for so much we want to accomplish as a community,” said Kit Dunlap, president of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. “It was one of the most talked about subjects in our VISION 2030 meetings,” she said. “The strength of our schools will always be tied closely together with the strength of our local economy,” she continued. “So it is exciting to hear about the advancements our two great public systems are making for our children.”
Bob Bilbrough of Qualcon and chairman of the LLTA agrees. “Education is the foundation of successful economic development,' he said. 'We want to present this topic so that the whole community can find out the kind of exciting opportunities that are available in our schools through the application of technology.'
